I get shin splints every time I walk on a treadmill. My shoes are supportive, and I have insoles for them due to my high arches, to get that out of the way. I haven't really done much cardio before starting this new program (I was on bedrest due to an injury from a car accident). Could they just be from lack of use or improper stretching-I do stretch but maybe I'm not doing the right ones?
They do go away after elevation and the use of a heating pad.
