hey is it really a good idea to squat beyond 'thighs parallel to floor'?

you will find everyone saying go deeper unless it is medical go deeper, but work your way up if just beginning I am just starting to go deeper, started the parallel box squats now go depper box squats, I hit a bench on full delcine for box, working towards it
