I am jsut now becoming moderatly active. I have been quite sedentary til recently.
I havea bout 40 pounds to lose. I am 5'4" and 168 lbs, 35% BF.
I eat usually convvenient foods so I tend to eat frzoen diiners and cereal etc...I know I am low in protein. I eat a lot of carbs but only whole grains...
I did the nutritinal profile on here and it has me at almost 2300 cals a day. I have a hard time with that because that is abuot how much I eat when I gain wieght like crazy.
I seem to lose at about 1500 cals. That was when I was not working out but it seems I should be eating around 1800-2000 to lose weight now that I am working out.
Am I missing something? How does this work?
Amy
well it is generally 10-15 cals per lb of bodyweight which at bare minimum you should be at 1680 cals but yes i would aim for 1800...especially if working out, you will find soon down the road you rbody will hold onto that fat you are trying to lose with the cal intake and new deficiency you have created by becoming active..trust me I went through month and half of no loses after the first month of loss due to my caloric intake and had to put weight back on by upping my calories to ween them back to appropriate levels...so I know it sound weird but it will workout in the end
