i just started this week but i read that we should up our weights each week by a couple of pounds, yes?

i work out with dumbells (4 pounds each...yea yea, im the hulk) and dont want to buy increments of 2 pound weights every week. Id go broke!

Advice on what to do? Would it be ok to just buy a new pair every, say, 2 months or so? What do you recommend? It seems cheaper to just go ahead and join a darn gym if I'm going to go ahead with this fitness thing....

Or go ahead and join a gym - all that pretty new equipment is like having a playground! And you don't have to clean it...

Otherwise a set of adjustable dbs...
