Yesterday was prolly my best day I've had to workout in a while.
I was doing some squats onto a box with chains...pyramided up to a single of 435...after about 8 sets of 2. Then I did some speed dl's no biggy there. What happens next realy shocked me. I did some over head squats...I started at 95/3 then 115/3 then 135/3 usually I stop at 135..but it felt really light? So I said what the hell...let see what I can do...I did 155/3 then 175/3 again the holding wa s alil shaky but I was hitting below parallel...so then I said lets try 20more lbs...so I finally did 195/3....I stoped there due to the pressure on my wrists...they were really sore. Persoanlly I think I could got 225 235 for a single...but I didn't wanna ruin a good workout.
just thought i'd share with you guys....

That is impressive. Nice!

great job man. I find similar to be true but more generally. After lifting 1-3rm type of deal, the lighter loads tend to go faster and more easily. The CNS is primed for heavy weight and thus you are able to exploit that by getting more reps at lower weight or lifting more explosively than you'd normally would be able to do. This is the reasoning behind things like supramaximal lockouts or walkouts for squats......after my heavy deadlift session , I was flying with 405 for reps....felt like I was doing 225...
