I buy powder and make it my self with the 8L power jugs you can by at the store. Is this stuff ok to be drinking during cardio/weight workouts? I know many drink water, just I have always prefered gatorade, etc during workouts.
However looking at the lable, it has a few cals, and carbs. Did not know if it was good or not during a workout. Any opinions?

I like the powdered Gatorade, too. Its made with glucose and not high fructose corn syrup like the pre-made bottled stuff. However, you want to use it AFTER your workout and not DURING. You do not want an insulin spike before or during a workout. It will leave you feeling tired and drained. Drink plenty of water during your workouts, then afterwards, have a glass of Gatorade to recharge your carbs.

I would not advise Gatorade during exercise because of the sodium content. It is pretty good for post workout fluid replacement, though.
