Hey everyone...I really want to lose weight and tone up for the summer  I think I can do it; I just need some help and motivation. I also have a question: What do you guys do for your three days of cardio? I'm excited to start.

My cardio varies. I have a mini-trampoline at home. At the gym it's an eliptical, rower, bike or treadmill. I will do either standard, steady pace cardio or HIIT which is alternating high intensity, short length and then a slower pace for a longer time.

Welcome to FT Alison, good luck on your goals, you might not see fast results, but you will definitely see a difference if you stick to a proper diet and exercise.

All I can hear when I read your post Tim is Homer Simpson getting all excited and saying "Tramampoline!"
Josephus, I think I started being a little easy on myself for cardio the last few weeks. I aim to do 60 mins at 80% max heart rate, either 2 x 30 mins (bike and elliptical) or 3 x 20 (bike, elliptical and swim/treadmill/row). That way I seem to keep the effort up longer and fight boredom.
Welcome, and good luck!

Anything that gets your heart rate up counts. So, tramampolining works!
Variety is the spice of life, and that's really true when it comes to exercise for loads of reasons, not least that it keeps you from getting bored.
