Hi all.
I am new to this site, lets hope I stick with it. I am the average girl, I eat healthy and slip sometimes:). I dont consider myself to be gross or fat. I thank God daily for my health but there's clearly a reason why I am here. I am 28 and weigh 145 ( considered over weight ?!)
I will be starting school to become a police officer and need to get back into shape for my physical test.
I have a hard time following through with plans that have been started.
I have a bowflex and free weights as well as an elliptical trainer and yet all I do is dust them :P ( truthfully sad I know ).
I also have a weak back, when I do crunches, my back aches? Hummm ?!
My "trouble" area I guess would be my belly.
Gained 100 lbs when I had my son 7 years ago and well that part of me isnt the prettiest!
So I guess that is my introduction.
Any ideas for me I would love to hear them!
-------------- Cheers

Yay a fellow canadian!! Where abouts are you? I'm in BC.
Congrats on the quest towards becoming a police officer. (RCMP?) Thats exciting. I'm sure that you will find your motivation. After restarting my gym habits it took me about a month before i actually wanted to go the gym. I was just going for the sake of going and doing a 'wandering workout' - a bit of this, a bit of that, not really pushing myself. Then I found this site and made a fitness plan. Now that i have assigned workouts, it makes a huge difference! There are things that i wouldn't have tried (or come up with) on my own, and then i'm excited to come home and enter in how much i was able to do. Its a great accomplishment each time. Then you want to push yourself more.
The only thing i'm having trouble with is trying to fit in my Cardio between workouts. I don't feel like i have enough time to do everything because my husband and i have opposite work schedule (nights and days) and he is at the gym doing rehab from a back injury the same time i'm doing my fitness program. But i always take longer than him and I hate making him wait. So thats what i'm working on right now, just trying to fit it all in. Anyway - I'm only starting my third week of my 8 week program so maybe we can motivate eachother!! Well good luck!!

Welcome, eh?
Nice to see another Canadian.
You have plenty of things to get you started. I don't think 145lbs is necessarily bad, but that depends on how tall you are. Plus, the police may have different standards, too.
Pick a routine from this site to get going. And quit dusting the gear. Use it! :)
