Ok, is there any alternate ways to target the same muscles as doing the calf raises, chin between chairs, and dips behind the back. For the calf raises, I do not have any steps inside (and i'm not going outside to do them) and i have nothing to stand on. For the chin between chairs, my broom is cheap and will break. Finally, for the dips behind the back. Yeah, I have no arm strength and I have enough trouble doing push ups! For these I tried holding two 3lb. weights, putting them together, putting my arms straight up, and lowering them behind my head. My gym teacher in 9th grade said that helps with the triceps. Is there anything better? Please Help!!!

you can just do standing calf raises, you just won't get as much range of motion without an edge to stand on, do them on the floor, lifting up onto your toes and squeezing your calf muscles, for balance imagine someone is pulling your front two belt loops forward as you rise up, so your hips lead sort of. It isn't as effective, but will work your calves. I tell my clients to pretend there is a piece of paper under their heels and they can't step on it - so you never fully set back down until your done with the set.

Overhead triceps extenions will work your triceps, so will push-ups, try doing pushups with your handfs forming a diamond underneath your chest for more triceps emphasis.

There is an exercise encyclopedia on this site, look under fitness resources at the top of the screen.
