I am taking hydroxycut and I read on certain things that it contains ephedrine, however, on the label it doesn't say anything about containing ephedrine.
I don't know whether to continue taking them.
If anyone has taken them, does this pill actually work?
Not only that, but i'm 17, is it safe for me to take?

hi currently take xenadrine efx, from my experience it isnt that bad, the 1st day i was little worried that it would have a negative effect and felt a little weird, i guess because it was my first time trying the product..its gives a great boost of energy..i only take 2 a day because i feel that 2 is enough instead of 4..i am under the 150lb mark so i decided just to stay at this dose..hope that helps

ravenwolf, what we were using was ripped fuel, not hydroxycut, but i did read that it contains ephedrine so it wouldn't be a good thing to take. and like ravenwolf says, at your age, you don't need all those supplements. just make sure you have a good clean diet and exercise and a good vitamin and you're good to go.

I took Xenadrine and Ripped Fuel, and from my experience Ripped Fuel does not have good side effects or results. But when taking Xenadrine I went from 210 to 180lbs but the side effects where the same as when taking Ripped Fuel, which was probably because of the Ephedra. If I were you I would try taking Ephedra free Xenadrine.

There are Ephedrine free versions in Canada ....it is nearly imposible to get the American version in Canada (of any of the fat burners) I've used both. For me Hydroxycut and Labrada's Charge both worked great...with all fat burnes follow the label. I used the low dose of everything. The Canadian non ephedra versions usually conatain Green Tea and suck (my opinion) The first time I used the Green Tea one I became quite nauseaus.

As will ALL medications always check with a Dr first. Anyone with any history of heart problems should not use ephedra...if you do use it follow the directions (this is where people are stupid and die...the directions are there for a reason)

At 17 eat a well balanced healthy diet. You are still growing and developing...do not add any unessentials to your system.

Enjoy the road to health!

Q: "Diet pills... do they really work?"
A: Not nearly as well as you'd think.
Fat burners (also called thermogenics) do work, but they have a small effect in the overall scheme of things. First off, they're next to ineffective unless used as part of a training regimen. Secondly, even when used with a training regimen, the difference they make is slight in burning fat. And it's very easy to see little result and think that you'll get better results by upping the dosage. Unfortunately, that's why people have been dying from them.
In my opinion, the jury is still out on how dangerous ephedra is. It's also important to note the difference between ephedra and ephedrine (a more purifed and concentrated - therefore more dangerous - form of ephedra). I think if used responsibly, the products are probably safe for over 90% of the population. The important factor is to follow the label to the letter.
Also, I took a look at your profile and noticed that your goal is to lose 50 lbs. From the looks of it, you've barely got 509 lbs. to lose. Are those your correct goals and what are your stats. Feel free to e-mail me directly with any questions or concerns.

I agree with the other posters - at 17 you really just need a good, balanced and clean diet to go with a good carido/weights routine. If you get sucked into pills now, where will you be in 10 years? Your metabolism should be fast enough that your body will respond to balanced eating and good exercise.

Xenadrine EFX Works!
Along with a good diet and excercise, I was able to transform my appearance. For before/after pictures, go here:

I'm 40 and work out everyday but I still can't seem to lose the weight. I have lumpy cellulite and I desperatly want to get rid of it. What should I do? I also could use some suggestions on diet pills.
Thanks

Alright, here I go. First of all diet pills are ONLY GOOD if used in conjunction with exercise. Don't think you can just pop the pill and boom you lose weight. The FDA has just lifted the ban on ephedra but only in 10mg doses per day as of April 14th, 2005. Ephedra can be dangerous if used incorrectly. You have to maintain your water intake and DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT exceed the recommended dosage. As for Hydroxycut, I personnally take this supplement. As stated in previous postings, this will not make you lose weight. I use it to give me the extra boost of energy to up my game in the gym as well as on my cardio days. I hope this info helps. Just remember, if you want to lose don't look inside a bottle, look within yourself.

ONE THING EVERYONE SHOULD REMEMBER NO MATTER WHAT...the companies who sell diet pills, fat burning gel..etc..do NOT care about you, they are only after your MONEY..they'll do anything to rip u off, dont trust ANYONE..there's no magic bullet when it comes to losing weight..plenty of exercise, and a healthy diet is what will see u through.
im EXTREMELY skeptical when it comes to any type of supplement or pill.
