(my lungs are not very good I've got asthama that sometimes flairs up... inhalers seem to do nothing unfortunitly)

Start with 20 minutes 3 times a week and then gradually ad a few minutes every week or two until you get to 45 minutes. Then add in an additional 20 minutes session on a different day sio you are doing 4 days a week. vary the types and intensities of cardio you are doing. My asthma improved the fitter I got! Just don't get breathless - keep it at a pace where you can breath so you don't spasm.

If your inhaler doesn't work you need to talk to your doctor. I have switched to singulair and hardly ever use my inhaler anymore. It is just a matter of finding what manages your asthma the best. When I did use my inhaler I found it helped a lot to use it before i started exercising, to head off any attacks during exercise.

A weight training program will help you lose weight and probably won't aggarvate your asthma as much as cardio - try one of the programs here under "exercise program" at the top of the screen.

Also - clean up your diet - get all the processed foods and sugar out of it, maybe even dairy, and you will see your asthma calm down I bet. Many foods can cause ingflammation, which aggravates asthma, and milk increases mucus production - another aggravation to asthma...

Good luck!
