I have a few questions. Do I have my own personal trainer? This doesn't seem very personal so far. What are repititions based on? How soon will I see improvement? How much time a day? Is there one person that will get to know me and help me with a specific plan for me?

Hi armygowa and welcome to FT. It looks like this site will not give you quite what you were expecting, but if you give it a try and learn all you can, it will give you results!

To answer your questions:

1. No you do not have your own personal trainer, but you can use the workouts here and ask all the questions you want. You are your own personal trainer!

2. The repititions are based on the program you chose and what level your at. 3 sets of 8-12 reps is pretty standard.

3. How much time a day? Wt training shouldn't take more than 45min-1hr, including a light warmup and cool down. 2-4X per week depending on your current fitness level and wt training level of experience. You could also do 2-3 days a week of cardio, either following the wt training or on different days.

4. If you post your plan and any questions, you'll get a response from many of the knowledgable members. The more you contribute, the more we'll all get to know you. Post your specific plan and people will comment. You could also log your plan and solicite feedback.

The more personal responsibility you take to achieve your goals the better success you'll have! There have been a lot of successes here, so give it a try, this really is an awesome site.

Good Luck!
