Healthy Weight loss???

I was wondering if there is anything unhealthy about losing 8lbs. a week????
I'm in very good athletic shape as it is, I just have alot of belly fat. I've been eating a very strict diet, low in carbs, and fat, and high in vegetables and lean protein with a powerlifting and strength routine with a sprint based running plan.
It doesnt seem unhealthy to me, but I don't know?????

I don't think that rate will keep up - if it does you are most likely losing muscle. At first you can lose rapidly - when you drop your carbs a lot of water will drop out of your system, and when you have a lot of excess fat your body is willing to give it more easily. as you get leaner, the rate usually slows down to half a pound up to maybe 2 pounds a week.

yes, My weight loss has slowed down, initially I think I was burning alittle bit of muscle, since I was noticing that my strength in certain lifts was going down.
I've amped up my intake of omega 3,6,9 fatty acids and increased my weightlifting, so I've seen an increase in strength but a definite decrease in weightloss.

My body is weird to me, because My legs, arms and back are pretty lean, and my stomach is disgusting. But my core is very strong??! I can squat twice my body weight, and consistently have done abdominal works since I was 14.

Sounds like you just need to clean it up and maybe cut by 100 calories, try that for a few eeks and see if you notice some fat loss.

You can be very strong and still have fat, abdominal fat is usually the last to go, so if you are eating right and training right you just need to keep it up and eventually your abs will lean out.
