I made some chili today. I've written down all the nutritional information so that I can break it down per serving.
1385 calories
3.5 g fat
9550 mg sodium
283 g carbs
73 g fiber
90 g sugar
70 g protein
This is before I add in the ground beef, 3.5 lbs that are 77% lean & 33% not lean. I drained 1.25 cups of the not lean. I don't know what % that is or how it affects the nutritional facts of the ground beef. Can someone help me out?

Sorry, can't help too much but you need to buy the leaner beef to start with.

Using Fitday.com I came up with lean ground beef(about 35%fat) cooked
1 cup
332 calories
22g fat
0 carbs
30g protien
I think this will closely match what you've got, so just add it to your chili. In the future, if you can find extra lean beef, that would be better.

That is a lot of fat. I drain it so it's not as bad. Substituting turkey over ground beef sounds interesting. I think I'll try that next time. Thanks ya'll
btw Velasca that new picture is Smoking! Fly your pictures are the same as when I first started surfing this site but you're definitally a Hottie too!! Thanks again:big_smile:

ground buffalo is lowfat and good in chili, too.
