You want to play football and you are worrying about a six pack???? You said you were very skinny, you should concentrate on eating and lifting. Stick to the big moves, Squats, Deadlifts, Overhead presses, Bench, Chins/Pull Ups, Rows, etc.... Work on your speed and footwork and forget about a six pack.

Can't have both. Decide what you want to do. For football, forget the six pack and concentrate on size, strength and speed.

Take it from someone who played 8 years of football, 2 on the collegiate level for the umass minute men, strength and stamina is what your looking for now. even on a jv level there are going to be middle and outside linebackers pushing 150-175 pounds that have been in the gym for a year maybe 2 with piss and vinegar running through their veins, i know, i played iron man, linebacker and fullback, back when i was in shape, which seems like a million years ago, anyways dont try to out muscle these brutes, they are a special breed, linebackers are after one thing only, your head, strengthen your core and build strength with heavy low rep weights ans squat and lunges, also work hard, very hard on sprints, up and downs, footwork with rope and core stability training, and read your play book, be smart, dont try to go head to head with these guys, they got heavier padding and i can promise they'll be mean, be smart, you think jerry rice made it all those years by trying to run through lb's and safteys ?
-------------- Let me show you
Sweet smell of a delicate whisper
Behind the vision of gardens
Go and read of your life
Tiny ripping at the heart
Drunk from a rose
