Most of the older members know me, and my beleifs, about staying healthy and for those of you who don't I used to train 5x a week and eat 95% healthy. I now train 3x a week due to time restrictions and still eat 95% healthy.
The good news is after my yearly physical (at 51) and complete blood tests, the doc told me to keep doing what I am doing and stay healthy. Just more proof from not another study that it all works! Here's to NO MEDS!

I am new here and would love to know what meds you were able to go off.
I currently take meds for high blood pressure and diabetes. My goal is to get off both of them. I am eating healthy and exercising 5 days a week.
Hope I can be as successful soon!
Great job!

Thanks for the kudo's folks but I posted just to prove a healthy lifestyle pays off.
No offense J, what I meant was "older members" as in long time members of freetrainers. Iknow, it still makes you feel older though!
drieman: I was never on any meds. I was worried about a few things though like thyroid but all is ok. Just that most of my friends /relatives the same age as me are on some kind of med which can be prevented by healthier lifestyles. You have seem to move in the same direction and I know for a fact, that you may come off your BP med eventually if you keep on resistance training. Others have even stabilized insulin levels. Theres logic and proof that it works.
Stay with it and give it time.
