Drie... give it time you will see results. How was it measured?

Keep in mind, diet is important, too.

The first time it was measured was with the machine you hold in your hands and it was 30%. Yesterday my trainer did it with the pinch thing (can't remember what it is called) and it was at 48%. OMG, guess I fit in the pig catagory!
I will not give up tuin, it just makes me more determined. In fact, hence my question, I do not want to over do but I want to give it my ALL.

Don't sweat it Debbie. It will come off. I didn't start seeing results until about 8 weeks in, and almost wanted to quit several times. Hang in there.
Be careful about overdoing it. Not only for recovery time, but to avoid burnout. Good luck!

Great, enthusiasm is absolutelly needed... however, be careful or you will just hurt yourself or over-train for a couple of days and end up deciding this lifestyle its just "not your thing"

I agree that the diet is very very important... specially now that you are starting to think about these changes in your life

30 minutes, twice a day is too much to start with. You need to work up to it.
How much cardio have you been doing up until now?

Hi asimmer,
I have been doing 45 min 5 days a week.
I was going to cut it to two 30 minute sessions, AM and PM.

Asimmer is the expert, but I would say that you are better off sticking with the one 45 minute workout rather than 2 30 minute routines. It's good to get your heart rate up and leave it up there, so 45 mins is better than 30 (even if you do 30 twice). Although, if you are a beginner, I still think that 45 minutes, 5 days a week is still a little much. :)

I have to say I do not mind the 45 X 5 as long as it won't hurt me. I enjoy it and do not feel a burn out coming, maybe the opposite, an obsession to work out! I am loving it. I was inactive but not bed ridden for the last 10 years so is that a beginner? I guess so because I did not have an exercise routine. Hmmmmmmmmm

Also check what you are eating... the work outs wont do any change if you dont take care of your diet :dumbbell:

Forget about the BF scales unless you are going into compete! No two will give the same results and even if you use the same one all the time it won't be consistent. The best scale is our eyes and clothes. I also beleive you are over doing the cardio. Don't be discouraged as I am sure you are feeling healthier besides...
