Hi everyone. I just read an article that eating peanut butter can actually help you lose weight by making you feel full for a longer period of time (which made me feel better about the two tablespoons I had with my apple slices this morning :). Any thoughts on this?

apple butter is very good also, a little bit darker and thicker than applesauce, but tastes just like it, very good on toast.:)

I remember the first time my mom brought home Laura Scudder's natural pb when I was a kid. One taste and I never ate Skippy of JIF again.

I ate a lot of apple butter when I was a kid, too, but doesn't it have added sugar?

Peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, pumpkin butter, mmmmmm and apple butter - I would thik you could make your own low sugar apple and pumpkin butters.

But then you need some crusty whole grain toast to spread them on!

I could live on Peanut butter or Almond butter for that matter. Almond butter can get more expensive. Yesterday in Whole Foods we saw a jar of Almond butter for $24.00!
