I'm new to all this so forgive me if I ask all the wrong questions. I could search fitBuddy, but I'm not really sure what to look for. Most topics seem to include the words I search for.
So... healthy eating... I'm doing that.
Weights... I do that but with rubber tubes instead. It does seem to work, but I haven't been doing it more than a couple of weeks, so I don't know what the long term effect will be... however... I do like it.
For cardio I use a small trampoline. I run mostly at the moment, because I don't want to over do the jumping bit and make my back hurt. I'm still looking for the right music, but until then, I do different tempi and different possitions. Fun to, but not as fun as weight training.
Every workday I start my day with a quick bike-ride to the train station. 10 minutes mostly up hill in a hurry. After that, 35 minutes rest (on the train), and then about 15 minutes on my other bike to get to work. Reverse at the end of the day.
I feel strange and unsatisfied when I don't train at the end of the day. I WANT to train these days, and that's a good thing.
I could use some help though. That's why I signed up here.
My first question: When doing weights you are supposed to exhale at the toughest point, right? I seem to do it the other way around. Could it have something to do with my song education? The breathing technique is different when singing. Do I need to change it, or is it OK to breath naturally, as long as I DO breath?

You'll want to exhale when you exert and inhale when you release. Have you taken a look at the free exercise program on here for training at home? It might be something worthwhile for you and give you a starting place.
Good Luck!:)

I'll watch my breathing a bit closer. I think different exercises makes me breath differently.
I use resistance abnds instead of weights. How do I know what weight to put in the fitness-training-chart? Reps, I know, but weight? The result is based on how heavy the weights are, right?

You know to be honest, I don't have the answer to that one as I have never used bands before in my life, but I am sure someone on here will be able to assist you. :)

Not sure the tensions you use...I do use a kinda of band with my kind of training. My kind need to be cycled for 3 weeks on and off. Bands have a different feel unlike free weights...they get "heavier" more they are stretched, making them a little heavier at top than bottom. Free weight are usualy heavier at bottom "lighter" at top..
I'd invest in some free weight Dbs...IMO

I'm thinking of getting some free weights as well, but they're pretty heavy to take home when you don't have a car.
I'm going to look into some better banhds of better quality, and I guess they will have more info.

You can look at elitefts.com or jumpstretch.com for stronger bands.
Till then, good job making use of what you have.
