Hi I am a brand new member, and my current weight is 210. I'm not trying to lose weight, but rather just get tone and add some muscle mass. When I ran my information I selected progressive gains. My nutritional plan calls for Protein - 263g Carbohydrates - 735g Fats - 94g Calories - 4708. I don't know much about nutrition but 4700 calories seems like a lot. Also does it matter what foods I am eating as long as I meet these guidelines?

First question: Yes, too high. I'd say shoot for more around the 3,000 mark and see how that does for you.
Second question: Yes, it does matter what you eat within reason. Attempting to lose weight this is more important than when you try to gain muscle. Cut out sweets, soda, chips, all fried foods, etc. Eat more vegetables, more lean meats, etc.

Why is the system telling me to have that many calories if it is too much. Also do my other numbers look about right? I'm 6"2 210 and I'm just looking to add a little muscle and get toned up.

You just contradicted yourself. In the first post you said you were trying to lose weight, but the second you just said you're trying to gain muscle.
They require different diets and exercise plans really. You need to figure out what your goals really are and stick to them until you reach them and then re-prioritize.

No if you read the first post you will see where I said "Im not trying to lose weight." I just want to add a little muscle mass and get toned up. That is my goal. 4700 calories seems like a lot for that goal, but I'm wondering why this website would tell me to eat that much.

Hi Chris. My name is Chris, too. I want to lose some fat and tone up. I, too, am a little confused about the plan the system generated. It has me at:
Calories 3636
Fat 44
Carbs 637
Protein 182
I am finding it really hard to match these numbers but I am still working on my food choices. I guess I am really wanting someone to hold my hand and just tell me what kind of stuff I need to eat, but I have been searching the internet and all over the website and am still confused, but I am trying to do the legwork myself.
I just got done with my workout today. I know I am not supposed to look at the scale, but I have lost 5 lbs in the last week since I started trying to follow the program. But, all I have had today is breakfast (oatmeal, fat free milk, protein drink) and a protein drink before the workout. The problem is, my stomach feels as big as ever! I am trying to lose some fat/inches and I feel like I am getting bigger, although I do feel stronger.
I really need some help as well!
Maybe I need to try another diet instead but stick with the workout plan. I just know what I eat is important as I am trying to build SOME muscle in toning up. Oh, I am 5'10 175lbs, although I was at 181 when I started a week ago.

My bad, I can't read apparently.
4,700 sounds high, I'm not sure why the website tells you higher than you need but it seems to happen pretty regularly. Start out around 4,000 calories for a few weeks and see how that does for you.
Sign up at Fitday.com They have a great website for tracking and monitoring a lot of your calorie needs and macros, etc.
