So... after two weeks on the home workout plan, I decided to pick up the pace. I'me going to order a set of free weights so I can work out properly at home, and I'm going to join the local gym. I've chosen the progressive gain plan, and that looks pretty good. It will be interesting to see where I am in 8 weeks from Monday. The thing is... the gym is in the small town where I live, and I don't get back home from work until 6 pm. Mondays to Thursdays, the gym is open until 9 pm, but on fridays it closes at 7 pm. On the weekend it's only open a few hours each day. I don't know how popular the gym is, and I don't know how long the routines will take. Is it possible to exchange a mashine exercise for a free weight one if need be?

Yup. Many machine movements are based on free weight movements anyway.
