This may be a stupid question, but when they measure the size of the arms, chest, etc, is that flexed or not? When I hear of someone having 22" biceps, it seems more logical that that is flexed and not relaxed.

it is generally assumed the bicep is flexed and the chest expanded.

jbennett....what is the measurement of ur arm flexed since you brought the discussion up.

Thanks, Itroisi. That's what I thought, but I just wanted to make sure.

My neighbor measured my arms about a month ago and they were both just a touch over 16.5in (not quite 16.75in). Last January before I started seriously working out, my wife measured them at 14in (flexed!). 2.5in in a year's time seems pretty decent to me. It would be nice if I continued to grow at that pace. My arms have never been my weak point, though.

Yeah thats definately a good gain! Keep up the good work!! I plan to gain about an inch in another year too....and if not a little more...I could always use it..lol!
