Should I be eating Whole Wheat Bread on a fat loss diet or no? I was thinking of eating a slice or two with a protein shake before a workout.

This should be fine...as long as it's not white bread. Another choice as a pre-workout meal would be oatmeal.

I was thinking of eating Oatmeal, but the way I have it planned out is that I have egg whites and oatmeal in the morning.

Hmmmm I had a client (who is baker) who brought me some fresh made whole grain bread yesterday night...... It was soooooo good and even though that I knoooow that I shouldn't then I ate it all with my evening meal....... That was a huge bread but geeeesh it was good (after I felt so bad so I did 1 hour of biking!!)
Bread is a wonderful thing (IMO) but don't do like me lol Just eat a few slices once in a while and do it during the morning or early day time and not in the night. Get the whole grained thing and eat it with a source of proteins (to control the insulin spike).

Man, bread baked fresh by a Frenchman, and in France. That does sound good Philia. Someday, I too will have fresh baked bread in France, someday...

Just make sure the wheat bread you are eating is actually whole grain, not white bread dyed brown.

I love bread, but have found in the last 5 months or so that when I stopped eating it a lot I lost weight and size easier....so even though I love it I limit it very much

This kinda sucks because I have been really considering whether or not to stop eating tuna fish sandwiches. I eat two a day because they are quick to make and easy to transport.

Cainsands: I really don't know much about bread but what about a whole wheat pita? At least it has 4 grams of fiber.

If you are going to eat bread or pita bread, I would definitely recommend whole wheat.

Natural Ovens has great breads that are about 4-5g fiber, 3-4g protein, 13g carbs per slice and contains Omega 3. You can buy it online if it's not in stores near you. Naturalovens.com
