Hotel...Excalibur, or any of the older hotels are usually cheapest. Honestly something right OFF the strip is usually best. The first time I went I needed to stay someplace REAL cheap, so I stayed at this place called the showboat. It's WAY off the strip. You would need a car for this.
You can do what Rev suggests and go to just the expo which is free, or the tixs are 150$ at www.olympiaweekend.com
The car is completely dependant on what you want to do. I will drive over so if you need a ride from the airport I'd be happy to assist. (It's at the end of the strip anyway)

Rev, could you email it to me as well please? It sounds like this might happen. The Expo is sounding good, for about 150 reasons! When I went a few years ago I stayed somewhere off the strip too, of course the strip is MUCH larger now than 8 years ago. We didn't pay much as I recall and the AC was cold!
The clubs sound amazing, can't wait to check them out. What is the cover usually like?

Well, for $20 bucks x # of clubs we visit, I just might cross-dress!

Hehehehe Seriously. Generally I only do one club a night. I mean we're only going to be there for three nights max, and trust me day 2 very tough. The first night we got to the club at 10 I think, day 2? 1am. That's how long it took us to recover. (insert serious amounts of alchohol though) I will probably get a room at the Luxor this time so I can just go crash...

Yeah, I can see that. Plus at my advanced age I may suffer more. I can't wait though, it sounds very cool. Unfortunately I am susceptible to drinking large amounts of alchohol as well, generally after being subject to much arm twisting and peer pressure.

LOL! Sure.. Honestly? I am too rigid to dance without a drink or two. I just can't feel it. Couple long islands, I'm loose as can be.

Well, I love to drink. I have cut way back in recent years but I can still throw down! I used to bartend and run a restaurant, it was SOP to drink nearly every evening. It was a tough job... I agree, with that assessment though, for me, it is much easier to get into it after a couple.
