Hi all,
I am 45, male, and a tad overweight. I figured it is time for me to get back into shape, so I searched around the internet looking for a workout plan I can do at home and a little support. So far I like what I see here. (with a few minor exceptions, but hey that's life!)

I also started the Nutritional plan here... well looked at it at least. A bit of a learning curve in all that calorie counting. I will get to that later, right now I plan on doing the home fitness plan and changing my eating habbits to moslty what I have found as good foods to eat in these forums and Dr. recomendations. (no enriched flour products is what he recommends, stick to whole grain type stuff)

Breakfast is going to be tough one for me to start eating, time is a factor in the mornings. I could use some hints on fast easy breakfasts (no yogart or cottage cheese, nasty stuff) Please don't suggest getting up earlier.. I already get up at 0430 and at work by 0530. Anything healthy I can grab on the run in the mornings?

thanks all

Hi zarmengar, welcome to freetrainers, congrats on making the decision to change your lifestyle and get healthier. Please fill out your profile so we get to know a little about you and your situation. Breakfast wont be too bad, you could do an instant breakfast shake, or a whey protein shake with a piece of fruit and maybe some toast, you can actually pre-make the shakes the night before, make enough for a few days so its easier on you in the am.

I like to add fresh fruit to my protein shakes like banana's of blueberries and so fourth, so theres a idea for you...

Anyways, use the fitbuddy search window at the bottom of every page to search for any questions you have, or just post them in the right forum and you'll get answers, good luck....

Thank you bill06,
I just finished my first week of home fitness plan, and I do feel much better already. Next week I will be doing some cardio exercises between my days of the home plan.

I am trying to eat only the foods on the lists I have found here and linked to from these forums. It will take time to change my bad habbits and get into the habbit of exercising, but I am off to a good start with a positive attitude. I may not post much here but do read a bit when I can. I really like the positive motivation I see in the posts here, even if I don't partcipate in the discussions.
