Hi.
I just joined. :-)
My problem is I'm underweight. I'm 50kg although my ideal weight is 65kg. I've tried to gain weight but haven't been lucky. I'm also afraid of gaining weight as most of my fatty areas are around my thighs and abs and back- I've had them since chidlhood and doubt they'll leave me. I'm also semi-vegetarian as I don't take any meat save fish and I do take daity products. So far, my eating as been ok (It can be cleaner) but I think I've been eating to meet my demands while I hear thin people should eat a bit more that their required calories to gain weight? I've been working out for like 4 years with no great results. I look the same and muscle doesn't seem to stick to me. :-(
Any advice? Thanks.

Welcome, Kumaran-r...first off, I guess I'd ask when you say, "working out" for four years, what is your workout routine? Weights, cardio, ?? Then being more specific about your nutrition would be my next question...many times people think that they are doing what they should be, but it is far off from what is needed. There are some great nutritional and workout suggestions here at ft, I'd start reading and learning to see what you can do to help gain the muscle, but avoid gaining the fat.
