Last friday after my chest workout i was sore in the middle of my chest (Usually any doms is closer to my arms). Later on in the week it went away so i didn't pay it any attention. Today i was going to be busy so i decided to change up and do my routine in the morning. Well halfway through it i was doing dips i got about halfway down and something gave out. There was a sharp pain in my left pectorial. It hasn't hurt constantly only when i turn or bend a certain way. I'm guessing its either a strain or a pull.
There was no pain in the beginning of the workout. I did start out a little weak but by the time i got to dips i was feeling strong.(i was a little slack on warming up)((lesson learned))
My question is how long does it usually take for something like this to heal. Like i said my chest felt funny last week in the same area but it went away after a couple of days. I dont want to end up in a cycle of re injuring the same injury every week

I knew it was dips before I even got to that part.
Any blood or bruising?

Just stretch it out, and if there is one exercise that you should warm up a little more with (both from a prehab and performance standpoint) it's dips. You'll be fine as long as you are careful.
