Just a question--according to medical books, at 5'3", my weight of 124 lbs is on the borderline for excess. These are, of course, height/weight charts for people of average body composition, which I am not. Are there any charts for women in training that take into account muscle mass? Maybe other women are having the same experience? It's actually kind of funny that people don't believe I weigh as much as I do.

Nope that is why they usually have disclaimers that say bodybuliders and athletes are exceptions. Do not worry about it according to their scales I should be dead...lol really their scales say that I am a walking heart attack. But I can out lift most people and still run a mile at 300 so do not worry about it.

Yeah, mutt is right. None of those charts take into account muscle mass. Muscle weighs more than fat, so it could have you actually overweight. I don't think there could be such a chart, due to different levels of lean mass in trainees.

people don't think i am the weight i am either...... so i wouldn't worry...... I weigh around 9stone=126lbs and am 5'4-5"

Forget the body weight scale and pay attention to the body fat scales or measurements. Your fat percentage tells volumes more about health and fitness than your body weight in my opinion. The mirror and your blue jeans size and fit are also great tools to measure your progress.

Im 24 yrs old. HEh, I do have a gut, but overall I dont think im "that out of shape" honestly. I mean, if i lost 60-70 lbs U would see my abs you know? Yeah that sounds like alot, but my body frame is big so i can carry it well.
This one indian doctor told me i should weigh 190. I was laughin so hard. I said "i dont mean to laugh maam, but I have 227 lbs of lean muscle mass, so should i burn that off too?" lol
