Hi! How much harm is there in drinking 3 cups (8oz) of black/green/red tea each day? I know that tea is very good for you in many ways, but the caffiene is not. Therefore, do they cancel each other out? ha ha. I could switch to decaf, but I really like it in the AM before working out and in the afternoon when I'm starting to drag. I could switch my morning green tea (9:00ish) to decaf if I had to. I'd really like some thoughts on this. thanks!

If you don't have a problem sleeping at night then I would worry about it. Tea is suppose to be good for you - I was told to try olong tea for losing weight - anyone else hear of this??-------------- Reddy All people smile in the same language |

I don't know about oolong (red) tea for losing weight. I've heard a lot of things, green tea for hair growth and weight loss, black tea to increase immunity, one of them is good for clear skin, etc. Hard to say if any of it is true. Although, I can say that I hardly EVER get sick anymore! :) No problem sleeping at night thanks to a cup of herbal camomille tea before bed. ha ha.

I have been drinking 6-8 cups of green tea a day for years. I stop about 3-4 pm to avoid any sleep issues. That caffine in green tea will not hurt you.-------------- Baseball is the only field of endeavor where a man can succeed three times out of ten and be considered a good performer |

Green tea contains an amino acid L-theanine. This is great stuff, relaxing yet making you alert. It is an excellent mood enhancer yet anxiety reducer. -------------- Baseball is the only field of endeavor where a man can succeed three times out of ten and be considered a good performer |

Sure is. I love green tea. I found some great tea at the World Market. It's a black tea/green tea blend. The flavor is like nothing I've ever had! It kind of tastes like sweet pipe tobacco smells. I know that sounds gross, but it is very good.

I brew me up a huge pot of bulk leaf green gunpowder tea and after it gets hot enough I add honey and lemon then poor it into a container adding aspartame and the put in the frig.
The next day comes and I have some delicious cold tea to drink all day! I make enough to fill up one of those big 4 liter plasticware containers! -------------- Knock-Um Down & Keep-Um Down! |
