Hi. I try to keep my diet around 30% fat, 30-35% protien and 35-40% carbs. However, I'm finding lately that I'm running more around 20% fat, 37-40% protien and the remainder is carbs. I know that each of these are important, but I feel like I force myself to eat fat in order to meet my requirements and think that's stupid. This carb/protien ratio seems to work best for me I have found so I'm not concerned about that, but is there really harm in only eating 20% fat a day? If so, what are some healthy suggestions to get more fat into my diet? I've been trying to eat some carrot sticks dipped in ranch dressing, but feel like that's just defeating my whole purpose! OH! Maybe peanut butter?

whole nuts would work great for you! protien + healthy fat. I like almonds and buy them in bulk. Walnuts are full of omega 3's and pecans are another great choice. I choose the almonds because they are somewhat lower in fat and full of vitamin E, which is great for the skin.

Your body does need the healthy fats, but it all has to fall within your daily caloric needs. I take a fish suppliments and eat almonds daily. The rest of my diet is extremely low in fat, although I do make salad dressings with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, so I'm sure I'm hitting my daily quota with healthy fats.

Definitely the peanut butter. Whenever I take a road trip I always take peanut butter and water. No fast food bs. Fast food places suck anyways every time I go through Wendy's they act like they don't want to give me water
