I recently actually counted how many calories i eat a day and realized I'm only eating about 1300-1500 a day because I am so busy (I've been doing this for about a month or so). Given my activity level I should be getting somewhere in the 2500-2800 range. I figure that my metabolism has obviously slowed a lot because I eat so little. Now that I realize I should try to eat a lot more, should I immediately start doubling my caloric intake every day or should I build up to it? I feel like my metabolism may not speed up to a normal rate if I suddenly double my intake.
Thanks
Build up to it eat 4-5 meals a day so your constantly getting fuel, and just slowly add to your intake.. by like 80 cals per a week. Just find what works for you, most of the time with busy lifestyles we wont even realize that were hungry, but we got to think about it every once in a while so we dont miss meals.
