Hello everyone, I am 51 years old and weigh about 217. I want to lose 40 lbs. this year and tone my body. I got hurt 8 years ago when I fell. I shattered my left hip and I still hurt most of the time. I haven't been able to really exercise, but now I am starting to realize I need to now. I hope this works because I am now getting higher blood pressure and problems breathing when I over exert myself. My blood pressure most of my life has been 120 over 76 approximately.

Hang in there maint. If your Dr. allows it, you will find that the build up of muscle around the hip may actually help you feel better. My husband had a very severe ankle injury in Oct of 06 and was in chronic pain all of the time. He started to work out a bit and is feeling better. Hang in there and god luck!
