According to me I have to do more cardio than exercises with equipment. right now I am coming back from a motorcycle accident, I used to run 3 miles, now if I can run 1 mile it's a lot. When I stopped running(because of the accident), my legs were really sore, and I couldn't run a lot after that, even on the days that I rest, I think I was pushing myself too hard, like I said at the beginning I wanna lose weight, but at the same time I wanna be able to run 5 miles. What do you guys suggest, How can I start my training so I won't hurt myself (I really don't know how much I can push my body). Any suggestions please, Thanks.

You should focus on strength training first right now, and cardio second. Strengthen up those muscles that have atrophied
and work in a little cardio at the end. If you're trying to lose any fat, putting strength training first and cardio second is probably the best way to do it. If your dead set on just being able to run five miles, consider strength training for your legs to be a rehab of sorts. When I first started getting serious about my cardio, my legs were always first to give out. I started training them once a week, and it wasn't long before my performance significantly improved. Just a few thoughts to consider
