Haven't been on FT for a while, getting back into working out.
Question:
From all of my research so far about creatine, it seems like great stuff, but what about the heart.
Heart is muscle tissue and would that not grow when taking creatine and working out?
Thanks
V

Creatine does not "grow" muscle and no it should not effect the heart....

Hypertrophy or growth does not *normally* occur in the heart, from what I know. That's a good thing, too because an thickened/ enlarged heart could become unable to relax between heartbeats because of blood or oxygen deprivation.

The heart gets "stronger" from cardiovascular exercises (known as "cardio").

Thank you all for your answers.
I was just concerned that heart tissue growth may be bad.
I've done quite a bit of research in the last few weeks about creatine and it seems pretty safe and with lots of research behind it, but with holes in research as far as the heart and kidneys.
Can cause kidney stones, may have issues with heart.

Creatine will no more make the heart grow than it will make any muscle in your body grow. Creatine does not make anything grow.

Creatine may be the most researched supplement out there. If you think you see "holes", look further, and if you still see holes, than it probably isn't anything to be concerned with.
