Well, it seems after reading a lot of these posts that us women have it ingrained into our thinking that cardio is a must. I know that weight training is the best way to lose weight and I've set up my 12 week program. However, I am still supposed to do SOME cardio right? My program doesn't indicate how much cardio I should be doing. Another site said that to lose weight you need to do 60 minutes of cardio for 5-6 days a week...is this right? Do I need to do that in addition to my weight training? My goal is to lose 10-15 lbs. I'm about 5'6" and 140. Any suggestions?
On the ftPro plan it says to do 25 min of cardio after the workout. At my gym the trainer said that they recommend 30 min on the eliptical or rowing mashine to loose weight, but that 25 min is defenatly enought after I've done my weight lifting workout. And I know that it's pretty hard to do 25 min on the elliptical on a leg day!
