Question hopefully someone can help me, im 180 6 foot tall and 28 yrs old, i'm new to ft and was wondering....if i'm just trying to get toned and lose the gut, how important is it that i meet the daily calorie intake goal of 4000 or is it cool as long as i dont go over it, im a bit confused, because my protiens up there and the carbs, and the fat intake is prety onpoint also, but my calories are about half the suggested amount? any info would be great. i lift 5 days a week 3 on 1 off 2 on 1 off and do cardio 3 times a week.

Hmm. I'm no expert but that calorie count is way up there sense 3500 calories is a pound.

If you're trying to shed a little weight, then you might want to be closer to 2200 per day(just a rough estimate). This site estimates high for some reason.
