It depends on what your daily protien intake should be. Check that to deturmine how many times you need to drink the muscle milk. I would recomend at least taking it after each workout, the protien will help to repair the torn muscle tissue caused from the weight training. Sorry I dont live in the area so I cant help with the workout partner thing.

Muscle Milk has fats in it making it not good for PWO meaning not ideal for after workouts.

Remember that 'calories' will determine the end result in what you do. So, if something is touted as wonderful for you, and may well be so, if you intake those calories, you must somehow offset with a caloric reduction or burn off some calories in some way.
And the idea of the fats post workout not being good for you, I was in that camp for a long time. However, after careful research, N=1 research, etc. I don't think it really matters. Good 'food' is more important than seconds sooner digestion. Now if you are a marathon athlete, or long distance bike rider, this may have validity. In fact, if you look at the original studies done on glucose uptake, it was done on high endurance athletes.

What about Muscle Milk lite?

I do the Muscle Milk lite and love it! Tastes good and I take it right after I workout. I basically do substitute a meal with it, but my meals are 300 - 500 calories 5 times a day, so the 200cal shake with 200cal of milk mixed in works great!
