hello all! I am 54 years old...oldie but goodie...lol. At any rate I have had gastric bypass surgery June 2006. I am finishing up my weight loss. I want to be down to at least 163 and hopefully 157 by my next WLS anniversary.I have exercised since before the surgery,(pretty consistently. Had a wonderful trainer for much of that time, but I was weak, tired, sick for much of that time-from an ulcer/gastritis-threw up just about daily for over a year...gut is better. I have been teasing at weights the whole time. Frustrated after a month? LOL (Lack of knowledge)I have more weight to lose been really exercising. Weighed 179-Goal 157...Jan 31st started logging cal/increased weights on machines/upped cardio. I got down to 172. This morning distressed 176? What am I doing wrong? I have been reading all the post. This will help me I know!!!!!! Thanks so much! I am down from 345,I just want to be successful. I feel much better and energy is in reverse...So, I am doing something right as well. Ann::dumbbell:::big_smile::cool:

Hi ann and welcome to freetrainers..... Its hard to answer your questions without walking in your shoes so to speak, we have no idea what your diet looks like and what your exercise plan is, but what i do know, from being in the gastric bypass prgram is, that without a proper diet, you will return alot of the weight the docs helped you lose, so its critical to change your lifestyle, something im sure you've heard a million time...

Count those intake calories and carbs and fats, get plenty of fluids, keep a food log ( It Really Helps ) and follow an exercise program with proper rest and you should be fine.....

--------------
How do you feel? That is the question
But I forget.. you dont expect an easy answer
When something like a soul becomes
Initialized and folded up like paper dolls and little notes
You cant expect a bit of hope
So while youre outside looking in
Describing what you see
Remember what youre staring at is me.
