Usually for things such as the crunches, twists, and leg lifts I put in 0 pounds but today was a back day and after the short work of back exercises I couldn't do one wide grip pullup. The gym I goto does have a pull master or something of the sort machine where you put in an assistance amount of weight and that weight counters you on the pull up (a seat is under you and it bascially just makes the pull up easier since your pulling up x pounds less) so i'm wondering do I put in 0 pounds for this still or should I put in negative pounds that the machine helped me with (ie: -30).

I don't think you can enter neg. weight. If it were me I would enter the weight And just remember that it's a reduction. Also if you do your pull ups first you will do better. They are a very demanding exercise and require a fresh set of muscles in many cases.

Another technique is to enter the weight as 0, the gym I use has a pull -up apparatus with steps. Cheat going up by using the steps, then come down slowly. You will find you can do several of these even though you can't lift yourself up. Log down you reps as 0 until you progress to the point when you can pull yourself up the first time, then 2, 3, etc.

I did the same thing at my gym and put in the weight that I lifted.
