How much lean muscle mass can I gain? I'm 16, 6'1", weigh about 70kg and am wondering how much muscle mass I can gain in 6 months. I don't want to put on any fat, just lean muscle. I've only just started working out about 6 weeks ago, but I'm sticking to the more compound exercises such as squats, deadlifts, chins and pullups, and bench. I workout fairly hard, enough to get me sore for the next couple of days, and have increased my protein and carb intake. My question is what's a realistic aim for weight gain?

Hey mongrel2012,
first I recommend that you sign up for the 12 week mass program.. you'll be able to do it twice in 6 months. If you increase your carbs and protein intake.. you should make about 5-15 pounds gain. But it will vary depending on your personal body type.
Good Luck!

thanks. I've signed up for it, and I'm also now following the nutrition program. Theres just one question about the mass program which I have: Does the program change every week or go through different phases? Because in the first week, the muscle groups seem to be worked only once a week and this seems to infrequent for the smaller groups. Thanks

12 weeks mass program does change after 4 weeks. You will begin to like the way it is set up. It carefully planned out to work the right muscle groups with the right movements and excercises. Stick to it. You should gain a good 5-10 pounds if you keep up your calorie intake. After 4 weeks I have gained about 2 lbs. My scale is a piece though.
