newbie - got a stupid question

I'm Ray. Have been doing 50 pushups/50 situps a day for over 4 months. Kinda ordinary but I figure consistency is a lot better than pushing hard for a while then giving up.

Really quick question - are we supposed to do each exercise for the 4 sets before going on to the next one? Or do we do #1 of each, #2 of each etcetera? I guess it doesn't really matter but just wondered.

Not a stupid question at all. If you are doing "Curcuit Training", then you would do one rep of each exercise in order, but for targeting specific muscle groups one should do the complete 4 sets before moving onto the next exercise.
