What program are you following? I would bet that you are working the muscles more than once a week.

To get through the hardest journey we need take only one step at a time, but we must keep on stepping.

why only one muscle group a week good question probably because they are a hard gainer.Once a week will give you plenty of rest,if your having a hard time getting a body part to grow sometimes you need to train it twice or three times a week to get it to respond, take for instance the forearms and calves they can be trained everyday almost indeffinetly, best would be three times a week for these parts.

SO blue77 why is it the forearms and calves can be trained everyday indefintley, yet in another post you say to not train the biceps that often cause they are small and can be overtrained......I would NEVER suggest training the calves or forearms every day......they get work in legs and thngs like deadlifts and the like.

If you can train your calves and forearms everyday, you're not training them right.
I can barely type the day after a grip workout, much less do more forearm work. And as for calves, in the rare event I do train them, I'm limping like a mo-fo.

To get the muscle to respond, sometimes you have to shock it in to new growth, but then eventually it will stop growing so you have to go back to trainig it twice a week, its worked for me but every body is different.
