Ok let me add on. I am taking a physical fitness test and need to put up 97% of my weight once. I weight 165. that would add out to about 157lbs to put up. I have failed a test before. I can put up 110lbs twice with no spotter.

If you already failed the test once and you knew what you had to do to pass it then why did you wait to the last minute this time. There is NO WAY that you can add that much weight to your bench in 2 weeks. It is just not possible.

I didn't wait. I just can't seem to put up anymore weight. This is of a police department. And I need to take the test when they say so.

it has been about two months since I failed the first test for a different pd.

Even 2 months would have been a stretch and if you add the fact that you probably don't want to gain weight in the process it makes it even harder. I can help reach your goal, but it is going to take more time then you have...when is the next time you can take the test.

I would start training right now for your next test then. I'd say something like 5*5 with accessory work, though you might do well with more volume. Maybe 5*5 one day, 4*8 on a second day, and practice doing singles every now and then.
You can probably afford to beat yourself into the ground with accessory work, since I can't see anything you're putting up being to taxing on the nervous system.

the next test would be when the next opening at this department. I get emails and letters from other departments but I never know exactly when the next fitness test would be.

And? So you should wait till you get an email? And be in the same position you're in now.
Just start getting stronger now, and it will help you in the future, whenever that will be. 50lbs in 2 weeks in unrealistic, even with improvements in technique. Many beginners can get a 10-15% increase in a single session by changing their technique, but for you that would still only be about 15lbs.
And since when did police departments start using the bench press as a test of fitness?

In new hampshire you need to run a 1.5 miles in 13min 37 sit ups in 1 min 27 push ups and bench press 97% of your weight atleast once. I thank you guys for your input

If that's what the test requires, then I would get started right now, because you have a lot of work to do. Don't wait until the last minute again.
