Hi. I like to do both, but I find that if I spin the day after I do weight training, I have less energy, and my legs ache more. Is that almost the same as lifting two days in a row? Should I try to put a day in between?

I don't know what your goals are but I spin fri, sat, sun, mon and wed. I do free weights mon, tues, thur, fri. I'm trying to loose body fat and it works for me. I make sure I get in enough calories and fibrous carbs (spinach, broccoli, asparagus, etc.) to keep my energy up. Check out some of the postings by the moderators that list the foods to eat.

Thank you for the reply. Since I go to grad school part-time and work full-time, I only get to the gym 4 days a week. I step on tuesdays, spin on Thursdays, spin on Fridays, lift on Saturdays, and try to spin again on Sundays. Sometimes I feel like I'm using too much of the same muscle. Could I not be giving my quads enough time to rest/heal after getting the "little tears"?
