Hi all. Just making myself known to everyone. I am from the 'sunny Okanagan Valley', B.C.
I am 37 years old, and a mother of two boys. I am married, and work full-time as a receptionist, and part-time as a graphic designer. My goal is to lose a lot of weight, gain some muscle and eat healthier, and be wise where portion-control is concerned. I need to balance my exercise routine so I'm not pulling any muscles while doing simple stretches!! ha haa...
I am new at this. I have always had problems with portion control, eating habits, and lacking in the exercise part. I have done this in the past, but I found that it was only when I was 'forced' into doing exercises, and kicking and screaming, and once started, about 30 minutes into the exercises, I feel great!! But I don't get motivated so easily. I feel different about this now, though. I really DO want to CHANGE for the better - whether I like it or not. I have never been so determined!!
Anyway, I hope to come across more people like me to help boost my confidence.
I've been working hard on myself to make me 'love me' more, so I can perform better. I am self-conscious, but working on feeling good about myself, too...
I look forward to meeting some of you out there, in the fitness world!!
This is new to me, so I'm going to take my first walk around the block and possibly down the channel parkway, where it spans about a 2 mile stretch...that should be interesting!!
