now forgive me if im being ignorant but i dont see the point of a rest period. that just seems like a waste of time. i understand the concept of a rest period but should u just completely blow off the day? or should you do something like a short cardio or quick light workout? plz hlp.

Rest is important for your body to recover. There is no rule set in stone that you must "veg out for the rest day. Nothing wrong with doing other activities or sports.

I just came off my rest WEEK after a 8 week cycle but I didn't stop going to the gym!
I went 3 days during that week for mild cardio, Walk the tread mill, walk the elliptical and walk the Stairmaster!
