Hey everyone! I've recently began toning myself. I'm 16, 5'2, and 104 pounds. I exercise and eat healthy but unfortunatly i'm not getting much results. I have small arms and legs and a flat stomach, but no muscles. A friend recently told me that I wasn't seeing results because I'm vegetarian and only get about 20g of protein a day. Is that really the reason why i'm having no results? And if so any ideas on what to do (other than eat meat) Thanks :)

It may have to do with the protein, but I would worry about total calories first. You need to be eating more than your body requires on a daily basis to gain muscle.

Yeah I agree. You definitley want to get your protein intake up along with the rest of the calories you intake. I would suggest atleast 1400. And you want your protein atleast triple what it is right now. Get a protein shake. They have it for any kind of eater. Including vegetarians. Go to your local health store like GNC and tell them you a vegetarian and you need protein and they will get you exactly what you need!

Are you Vegan, or just vegetarian? If just a vegetarian then you should up your milk, eggs, and cheese consumption. Eat more peanut butter or walnuts, and like Warren said look into a protein shake.
It is easy to get 60+ g protein in one drink the way I make them.
