I started with a comfortable weight that I could lift for the number of reps called for in the program. You can add or subtract according to what you feel you can handle. Be careful and don't try to do to much too early. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon!! :) Lift cool!! There are others on this forum who might have better info. Stick with the program and you'll see results; it takes time, rest and plenty of food.
