advise on whether these workouts are to much
chest-flat and incline dumbbell presses 8-6-4-2
flat and incline dumbbell flys 10-10-8-8
pushups 3 sets to failure

arms
ez curl bar 4 sets 8-8-6-4
alt. dumbbell curls 8 sets between 3-8 reps avg about 5 max weight
concentration curls 3 sets 5 max weight
5 sets skull crushers 6 reps max weight
can i do this arm workout 2x a week
am i doing to much i dont want to over do it and hurt growth
i rarely work legs anymore.
does the muscle have to be sore for it to grow? thanks.

Mr Upper Body, rarely working your legs will hurt your growth!

As for your routine it sucks.

Take a look at the routines this site puts together and learn off it or google Bill Star's 5x5 or Westside Barbell Training and look how they do things.

You have a routine of a 13 year old hitting nothing but chest, bi's and tri's.

This might get deleted and I don't care because I'm not going to sugar coat anything on this matter you need to learn to put a real routine together.

thanks for being honest. i do do legs i have just been getting these really bad headaches lately when i do squats and deadlifts. so i rarely work that bodypart anymore.

You might be doing to much because you do to much for arms and chest as it is and if legs are the same you will tax out just on that leg day.

Look up Bill Star's 5x5 it has helped me tons and I squat 3 days a week now and deadlift 1 but the put it where out don't do tons of leg stuff just Squat for 5 sets and that it your done!

If squatting and deadlifting heavy is still making you feel bad, then I would try squatting even more often, but with reduced intensity. 5x5 might be a good way to do this. Starting strength is another one that might be worth looking into.

Have you ever tried taking a couple of aleve before going to your routine,your probably not breathing right either,dont hold your breath to you pass out and puke all over your bench,I hope your not taking steriods because some times they build up to much blood pressure for your body to deal with and you might have a seizure and die.:surprised:

as far as the headache thing blue i cant figure it out it comes at the beginning of a workout 15 minutes later im good to go go figure. i breathe right get enough water and i am not on roids. one day i got a headache at the end of a workout and over the past month i have gotten one every time. i am going to try the alive thing thanks for the idea. its annoying having this problem. i will post on weather the alive worked after tomorrows workout. ill use excerdrin more of a headache medicine.

im doing deadlifts again to. it doesn't matter what workout i do i get the headache.
