I started atkins back in November of 2006. I lost pretty quick, going from about 190 to 170 in the about a month or so. Over the next few months, I lost another 18, but slower. Optimally, 150lbs is a good weight for me. Very little fat on the body, but kind of small too. I do have a small frame.

After getting to that weight, I started eating a little different. I would eat high fiber meals and increased my carb intake, but only with fiber. I never ate white carbs during the week. I always cheated on weekends though. Eventually I got up to about 160 or so and thats where I'm sitting now. I can weigh myself one day and it will say 165, then the next day it will be 158. Go figure..

Anyway, now that you have a bit of history, here is my question. How can I implement strength training and 2400 calories a day without putting the fat back on. I don't eat near that much today. Maybe 1500 calories on a good day.

I'm 37 years old, and 5'9" tall.

I assume your a man but you don't specify. Great job on the weight loss.

That being said you need to be eating more than 1,500 calories a day and carbs are not bad. YOu're doing the right thing with avoiding white carbs (or processed carbs as I call them).

You can sign up for a strength program on this site, they're great beginner/intermediate programs.
